Ghandruk · Annapurna Conservation Area · Nepal
A stone-built garden lodge that grew out of Ghandruk rather than beside it. Marigolds on the railings, mountains over the wall, and a fire lit when the sun goes down.
The Lodge
We built the lodge the way houses have always been built here: stone from the hillside, timber balconies, terracotta trim. Outdoor tables sit on the lawn among the flowerpots, and the whole Annapurna range stands across the valley.
Run in keeping with the village around it, the lodge keeps things simple and sustainable. Solar-warmed water, garden vegetables when the season gives them, and a slower pace that guests tend to settle into by the second morning.

The Rooms
Rooms are quiet and comfortable, with private balconies that catch the mist rolling up the valley most mornings. Soft bedding, warm walls, and a window always worth opening.
The Kitchen
Classic Nepali dal bhat, noodle soups and simple comfort food, cooked at home pace and served in the dining hall or out on the lawn. A small bar keeps the evening going after the plates are cleared.
After Dark
When the sun drops behind the ridge, the garden becomes the evening gathering place. A fire pit, chairs pulled close, and trekkers from every trail swapping stories under the flags. It is the kind of night that makes people stay an extra day.
